Just an update.... Corrie is nursing!!...#166 is letting her nurse, along with 2 others, her own included. She will not have enough milk for 3, so we are supplementing all 3 with milk replacer. Whew. Another calf born today. We are running out of room in the nursery- so we created a pen in the barn for mom & baby. We try to keep them out of the rain and mud until they are at least 7-10 days old and we know mom is taking care of them. And Six is still taking care of Corrie... so it will work out.

I love reading about the animals on your farm. How unusual that #166 is letting three babies nurse.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not following me, I know your very busy with your herd and the donkeys. If you have a few minutes here or there stop by if not it is just fine.
